Open temp folders faster

Published on: Sat, 21 May 2011

Most of us know that there are two temp folders in Windows 2000 / XP and located at:
C:\windows\temp
C:\Documents and Settings\%USER%\local settings\temp

Opening these folders can be time consuming task; because "local settings" folder in the user profile is hidden, so you have to show hidden files and folders then navigate to this long path.

For Windows Vista / 7 the path is even longer, with this new folder structure; especially because most of us worked on windows XP for long time, so it will not be easy to memorize this new path:
C:\Users\%USER%\AppData\Local\Temp

Windows temp folder can be open quickly as follow:

1- Click Start, click Run
2- Type temp, press OK.

To open the user profile temp folder quickly, follow this procedure:

1- Click Start, click Run
2- Type %temp%, press OK.
